I met Sheila about 30 years ago while she was working at Prudential Insurance and I was working at PMSC. PMSC was the software vendor for Prudential and in those days, the relationship was...in a word, "strained". We were asked to work with some of the Prudential folks to see if we could sort out some of the issues they were having with our software. I was nervous, since it was clear to see at the management level things between the two companies were "frosty". Within seconds of actually getting to work with Sheila it was clear she played things differently when dealing with people than what I had seen from her leaders. She was kind, understanding, very open and friendly. It put me totally at ease and allowed me to relax.

Over the 30 years that followed I would run into Sheila from time to time, as those of us that have spent our business lives in the Insurance Industry do, and then she arrived at RSA where I dealt with her more frequently. While so many things in life change, and what you enjoyed about the "good ole days" seems to fade, that was not true of Sheila. That same kindness, openness and understanding were clearly the core of her being. She was that same person I had dealt with 30 years ago up to and through our last conversation. If only there were more folks like her, the world would be a better place.

My sincere condolences to her family on a great loss.

My sincere condolences to Sheila's family. Lean on each other for support and cherish the fond memories.
I worked with Sheila at RSA from day one. We worked side by side on the QM team until I moved to another department. Sheila was always friendly, always had a smile on her face and so easy to talk too. I am shocked to hear of her passing, heaven gained another angel. I will miss you Sheila R.I.E.P
