Shayaa Roberts, born on April 7, 1984, in Montreal, Canada, was a beacon of light in the lives of those around him. From his earliest days, Shayaa exhibited a contagious enthusiasm for life and a knack for spreading joy wherever he went.
Shayaa was the beloved son of Valda Toussaint and Everald Roberts, also known as Abdul Wali, and stepson to Fay Roberts. He was the cherished brother of Paulette, Suzette, Carver Jr., Jerome, Terence, Michelle, Miguel, Yumnyvelle, Zaahir, Judah, Hakim, Shaakir, Saajida, Taymaa, and Shebah.
He met Jessica where they were fortunate to conceive his first born son, Jordan. He subsequently met Fadia, who was his life partner for the last 19 amazing years, and they were lucky to conceive his daughter, Syria, and his namesake son, Shayaa Kaliph Kais.
Shayaa's educational journey began at Summerled School in Montreal, Shayaa then settled at Clarkson Secondary School where his charismatic presence and quick wit made him a popular figure among his peers.
Outside the classroom, Shayaa was a natural leader and trendsetter. His entrepreneurial spirit manifested early on, and he cultivated his passion for fashion and creativity throughout his life. Recognizing the importance of honing his business skills, Shayaa took entrepreneurial classes to further develop his expertise and enhance his business acumen.
This passion led him to establish his own clothing store, 4HimandHer, where he showcased his unique style and vision to the community.
In addition to his academic and entrepreneurial pursuits, Shayaa was deeply devoted to his family. For the last few years, he lived with his brothers, Judah and Hakim, renewing strong bonds of camaraderie and support that enriched their lives immeasurably.
Shayaa's magnetic personality and infectious laughter touched the hearts of all who knew him. He had an uncanny ability to light up any room he entered, and his genuine kindness and generosity left a lasting impact on everyone he encountered.
Throughout his life, Shayaa faced both triumphs and challenges with unwavering resilience and optimism. His legacy of love, laughter, determination and especially spirituality will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Though Shayaa's physical presence may be gone, his spirit lives on in the memories and hearts of his beloved family and friends. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his boundless energy, infectious smile, and enduring love.
