It is with great sadness that the family of Sharon Van Alstyne announces her passing after a courageously fought battle with cancer on Thursday, September 6, 2018, at the age of 47. Sharon will be lovingly remembered by her husband David, daughter Keira and step-daughter Taylor, her mom Julia, sister Andrea (Scott), brother David (Andrea), and her nieces and nephews, Olivia, Matthew, Lauren, David, and Audrey. She will be fondly remembered by her aunts and uncles, Carol and Brian, Janet and Craig, Gerry and Sandra, and Don and Heidi and Mother-in Law Moira .
A funeral service for family and close friends in memory of Sharon will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 4:00pm, at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centres, 1057 Brock Road, Pickering. The service will be followed by a time to celebrate Sharon’s life with her family and friends from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Those who so desire may make donations in memory of Sharon to the Canadian Cancer Society.
