In memory of

Shamyoon Moseda Kachan

December 26, 1934 -  December 13, 2022

Shamyoon Moseda Gajraj was born on Boxing Day, December 26th 1934 in British Guyana to Rahman and Hazrah Gajraj.

Cedie married Ram Kachan in 1955. Being a doctor's wife, she moved around with him to wherever in Guyana he was posted. They lived in Mabaruma, Bartica and Esequibo to name a few, eventually ending up back in Georgetown. When the situation in British Guiana started to change, she and Ram left and eventually moved to a small town in Saskatchewan named Willow Bunch. Once there she became very active in the community. She played golf, bowled, curled and helped out with community projects and events.

Cedie loved to entertain and put on some of the best parties. She was also a great cook. Her meals were delicious and you never left her home hungry.

Cedie loved music and played the piano very well. The piano sat in the living room of our house in Georgetown and I used to marvel at her playing. She loved listening to singers such as Jim Reeves, Dean Martin and of course, Elvis.

Cedie will be deeply missed by her friends and family, an angel gone to heaven too soon.

Cedie, my dear beautiful cousin..I miss you so very much. I remember riding my bicycle to come and visit you in Waterloo street.
