In memory of

Seymour "Levi" "Simeon" "Scottie" "Puggy" Scott

May 23, 1956 -  September 11, 2024

Seymour Norman Scott, aka Levi, Puggy Simeon was born on May 23rd 1954 in Montego Bay Jamaica to Scotty and Irene Gordon. He attended Calabar High School, one of Jamaica’s most prestigious high schools. It was there he was given the nickname Puggy Simeon.

He contributed to the careers of many reggae artists through promotion to witness their rise in the music industry. These experiences sparked his passion which deepened his love for reggae music.

Puggy migrated to Montreal, Canada in June 1976 where he joined his mother and five younger siblings. In 1977 he embraced the spiritual orthodox teaching of Rastafari, a transformation that strengthened his consciousness and commitment to issues of social justice and equality. He joined the 12 Tribe of Isreal family where he played sound system for over 30 years.

On Wednesday Sept 11th 2024, we lost one of the kindest, loving, defender and irritant that we have all come to know and loved. He is survived by his siblings, children and his mother.

He will be deeply missed.
