In memory of

See Man Tam

August 24, 1925 -  October 15, 2020

Our beloved father Mr. See Man Tam passed away peacefully in the morning of Oct. 15, 2020, at the age of 95, due to natural causes. He joins our beloved brothers Benny and Stephen who preceeded him.

He is survived by our mother Mrs. May Shiu Tam (of 70 years of marriage), his sister Wai Fong, his sons Tony, Albert, Kenny, Danny, as well as daughters in law Linda, Alice, Mandy, Susan, Pauline and Diana (Danny's long-time partner) while his legacy lives through us along with his 15 Grandchildren as well as 11 great grandchildren.

We mourn our loss, but find comfort in reminiscing fond memories of our father and his achievements that sustain us through this difficult time.

Born in the town of KaiPing, GuangDong, China and migrated to Hong Kong in the late 1940s, our father worked tirelessly and closely with our mother to raise their 6 boys. Reunited with our grandfather in 1970 when the whole family of 9 that included our grand mother, migrated to Canada, thanks to the generous sponsorship by our uncle Fred Hum and Aunt Sue, as our father continued his devotion and sacrifices for his family here in Toronto, demonstrating many fine qualities of his character in everything he did, whether it was all the sacrifices made in paving the way for his children and grandchildren to develop and thrive in Canada our homeland now, or treating others with respect and enthusiasm, or simply enjoying his blessings through a life style of simplicity and caring for others. The term "family gentleman" describes him most sincerely and appropriately.

We are holding a funeral service to be attended by family members only, in his honour, on Saturday Oct. 31, 2020 at Elgin Mills Funeral Home to commemorate him and to celebrate his life and achievements.

Dear Aunt May, Tony, Albert, Kenny, and Danny. Please accept our deepest, heartfelt condolences. Uncle was a gentle, loving, and devoted man and we will always remember his quiet words of wisdom, his smiles and laughter, and his pride for his sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He always spoke so fondly of all of you. We will always remember fondly the Saturday nights at the restaurant watching Hockey Night in Canada, hot summer days at the house, Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations at our house and so many other occasions. He will be truly missed.

We will be keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers as you come together to celebrate his life and legacy.

Love,
Uncle Fred, Nancy, David, Brian, Michael and Nicholas
