Passed away at her home on October 22, 2021 at the age of 94. Predeceased by her loving husband Samlall (Charlie 2004).Cherished mother of Jai and Annette Soomaroo and Geeta and Lloyd Daligadu. Beloved grandmother of Neil Soomaroo, Nicola Daligadu-Wilson and Greig Wilson, Nanette Daligadu-Callahan and Jeff Callahan. Adored great grandmother of Braithan and Matteo. Sahodra will also be missed by her many siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Due to COVID-19, attendance is limited and masks are mandatory. A private funeral will be held at THORNTON CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, (South of Taunton Road and off of Dryden Blvd, 905-579-6787) on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 1:00 pm. The private funeral will be available for webcast just prior to service time. In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted for Canadian Cancer Society.

Our deepest, heartfelt sorrow and love to the Daligadu and Soomaroo Family, and to all the close extended families and friends. Our Aunt Sode was a kind and gentle soul with a huge heart and a kindred spirit. She was loved and appreciated by so many family and friends whose lives she touched. We send you off with the deepest gratitude for all she has taught us, armed with the love she so selflessly gave us. We will remember and miss her always, and forever. Rest in Peace our dearly beloved Aunt Sahodra. ❤️

Fondest memory of a kind, caring and beautiful aunt who made me the most gorgeous dresses as a little girl. Holidays spent at her home were always exciting and fun - lots of goodies which she made herself. I will miss our chats of Guyana and all the people we knew. You kept me up-dated.
