In memory of

Sabrina Skye Drouin

September 30, 2007 -  November 11, 2018

DROUIN, Sabrina Skye
Passed away at home, surrounded by her loving and adoring family, on November 11, 2018, at the young age of 11. Cherished daughter of Wayne and Debbie Drouin. Adored sister of Zoe. Beloved grand daughter of James Green, Pauline Green and the late Claude and Ellen Drouin. Sabrina will be dearly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends, including her feline friends Nash and Bella.
Sabrina had a sharp and sassy spirit right to the very end and her smart and witty comments will not be forgotten, she always had a knack for getting to the point and saying things as they were.
Sabrina loved to camp and listen to music, loved movies and especially enjoyed anime. Sabrina also loved to draw and had one of her artworks purchased by the town of Whitby to put up on banners downtown. Sabrina will be sorely missed.
We wish to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the doctors and nurses and staff of Sick Kids and Rouge Valley as well as our Community Care nurses for their care, compassion and professionalism shown to Sabrina and her family. Visitation will take place at THORNTON FUNERAL CENTRE (1200 Thornton Road, North, Oshawa, (905-579-6787) on Friday, November 16 from 10 am until time of Graveside Service at 12 pm. Informal attire is preferred by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted in Sabrina’s name at https://secure.sickkidsfoundation.com/donate/ or your local Pet Rescue/ Animal Shelter.

“…short on pain, long in peace…” was her wish.

When we asked her what she wanted to have happen after she was gone she said,

"Don't Rush Me"

My favourite movie is "It's A Wonderful Life" with Jimmy Stewart. It reminds me that no matter how short or long our lives may be - we have a significant effect on the world and the people around us.

Sabrina, you were here with us so short a time but you made a huge difference in my life and in the lives of many others. Rest now in the love and presence our Our Lord and Saviour. Amen

The most difficult heart breaking journey is losing a child. It never ends. You lose part of yourself as well as your beloved child. You'll never accept the loss but eventually resign yourself to coping with it. Our love to Sabrina and her family. Take care of each other.
