It is with great sadness that the Bernardelli family announces the passing of the wonderful Sabato Bernardelli. Sabato passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.
He was a man of a long era, a true gentleman and a man of sportsmanship being that he was a professional boxer in his prime. His family Immigrated from Italy and started a new and adventurous life here in Canada.
His Mother (Mariassunta)and father (Rosino) started a beautiful family of 7 children. Sabato adored his parents and his siblings. He had three brothers (Domenico, Antonio, Giuseppe) and three sisters (Delfina, Anna, Maria) that were the sunshine in his life.
From the moment he was born, the bond he formed between him and his family was unconditional. It would remain prominent throughout his life and continued to the passing of his parents later in life. He was a very good son, an honourable man and had a very genuine character. He was a strong man, and his family meant everything to him. Although he did not marry, Sabato found comfort and created strong bonds through all his niece’s and nephew’s whom he adored dearly. They were number one in his life. Sabato treated them all with much love and respect. He truly appreciated the legacies of his brothers and sisters and the new families that they brought into the family as well. As his family grew so did his heart and his wisdom that he passed on to the next generations. His strength and generosity knew no bounds, known for his kindness Sabato would host annual family get togethers, it was there that memories were shared; stories were told for hours while others shared laughs by the arcade machines and pool tables. Sabato lived a long prosperous rich life. He grew closer to his nephew Anthony loving him almost like his own son. In his later years he relied on Anthony and his niece Gianna to help him find comfort and prosperity leading up to his passing. He will be missed by many but most importantly by his loving family.
May his Soul Rest at Peace.
