Ma, Ruth – peacefully at Toronto Grace Hospital, palliative care on Sunday December 8, 2013. Many were able to visit Ruth throughout her illness, including her sister Margaret, on the day of her passing. Daughter of Rev. T.K. Wou Ma and Anna Ma. Sister to eldest brother Joe, who turned 99 years old last month; and to dear Margaret. Pre-deceased by her other brothers and sister: Benjamin, Daniel, Ruby, John, Jim, Tim and Alex. Sister-in-law to Valerie and Maggie. With thanksgiving for other in-laws who have passed on: Sheila, David, Violet, Evelyn and Grace. Pre-deceased by her niece Suzie. Auntie to Chris, Nick, Jon, Stephen, Rachel, Andrew, Ian, Tony, Judith, Ted, Barry, Tom, Mike, Tim, Patrick, Robert, Cydney, Brian, Enid, Alison, Chuck and Peter. With support of many niece/nephew-in-laws, and grand-nieces/nephews.
Ruth lived a full 96 years and led an interesting life; as a concert pianist, music teacher, organist and choir conductor. Her aim was to help others find God’s joy and healing through music. She loved her Lord, played piano passionately, created wonderful compositions, raised money for a piano for Gilda’s, enjoyed many years in Gravenhurst, and treasured her grand pianos. We will miss her.
In lieu of flowers, consider making a donation to Chinese Presbyterian Church, Knox Presbyterian Church Toronto, Mount Sinai Hospital or Toronto Grace Hospital.
