VALKANAS, Rose

Passed away peacefully at Hellenic Home in Toronto on November 20, 2017 at the age of 88. Predeceased recently (October 14) by her loving husband of 59 years, Evangelos . Loving mother of Bill and Spyros. Beloved grandmother of Angelica, Christopher, Evangelos, Thomas and Katherine. Loving sister of Stavros, Koula, Fani, Irene and late Carlo. Rose will also be missed by many extended family members from Canada and Greece. She will be forever remembered for her love and devotion to her family. Visitation will be held at THORNTON FUNERAL CENTRE (1200 Thornton Road, North, Oshawa 905-579-6787) on Thursday, November 23 from 6- 8pm. Funeral will take place at Greek Orthodox Church Evangelismos - Sts. Nectarios and Grasimos of Oshawa (399 Farewell Street) on Friday, November 24 at 10:30 am. Interment at Thornton Cemetery to follow.
