In memory of

Rose Traitses

July 28, 1935 -  August 11, 2022

“Baba” Rose Traitses, like her name reflects, bloomed with her unwavering positivity in her beaming smile, dance steps and humour. She was a survivalist, optimist, and artist who emigrated as a teenager from a small village of Banitsa, Lerin, Macedonia to Toronto, Canada for a better life. She married James Traitses whom she had three children —George, Elizabeth and Johnny, and eight grandchildren —Steven, David, Jason, Jessica, Michael, James, Matthew, and Rosemary.

Rose will be reunited with her parents Slava and Kitse and her two brothers — Bill and Sam. Her sisters, Mary and Helen, will miss her dearly.

Rose was very artistic in her crocheting, knitting and needlepoint creations, in which, she would proudly make and give to all her family. In her youth, she worked in garment and box manufacturing. Later, Rose became an entrepreneur in a shoe store with her husband. She enjoyed dancing, music, swimming, camping and travelling.

Mom…Baba ...“We love you …de melvum nogo “.
