It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we share the death of our mother Rose Elizabeth Hunt (Nee Spivey) at the age of 92. Rose passed away peacefully at Providence Healthcare in Toronto, Ontario on July 15, 2025 after her battle with cancer. Born in London, England on January 30th, 1933, Rose will be forever remembered for her loving, caring, and feisty spirit. She was incredibly generous, always helping anyone in need. Rose’s warm presence, independence, and strength left an undeniable mark on all who knew her. Additionally, Rose loved a good debate and reading about the Royal family. Her laughter, love of life, and ability to make everyone laugh with her stories will be sorely missed but never forgotten. She was very proud of her five children who she raised on her own. Rose’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of all those who knew her, but her spirit will stay with us.
Rose is survived by her daughters Kathy (Beloved Doug), Kimberly, Theresa, and son Roderick (Karen), and was predeceased by her son Andrew. In addition, she leaves behind her grandchildren Shanna, Kenny, David, Michael, Nathan, Brandon, Kelty, Jason, Krista, Jennifer, Brittany and Matthew, as well as 21 great grandchildren.
As we say goodbye to Rose Elizabeth Hunt, we celebrate the life of a woman who was a beacon of kindness and love. Her legacy is one of unwavering devotion to her family, a testament to the beautiful life she lived, and the countless lives she touched. Rose’s memory will be treasured forever, as we hold her close in our hearts and remember the light she brought into this world.
