Rosaleen (Rose) Taskinen passed away peacefully on July 11, 2018. Rose was surrounded by loving family.
Born in Dublin, Ireland in 1938, Rose emigrated to Canada where she was blessed with her four children; son Peter and daughters Pamela, Susan (Nick), and Tracy (Paul), who survive her. Beloved Grandmother of Michael (Karen), Laura (Shawn), Lillian and Nicholas. Rose was a valued friend to many.

A Celebration of Rose’s life will be held at the Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre- 375 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto, on Sunday, July 15th. Visitation will start at 12:00 pm, with a Service at 2:00 pm. A Reception will follow after the service until 5:00 pm.

Rose was a very good friend, we've been friends for over 50yrs. We have so many good memories, lots of fun together playing cards going out in the boat, spent a lot of time together. Sorry for your loss, but she is no longer in pain & is with her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ.

Dear Aunt Rose...from the first time I came to visit you in Canada in 1980 you became very special to me...more visits came and you became like a distant mother you and me had some great talks about your life in Ireland with my dad you're big brother ...when I saw you last year I knew it was for the last time that "hand squeeze" was our last goodbye...I will always remember you with love and affection ..you are a very special person great mother grandma mother in law and especially great Aunt...Go and join my dad you're big brother Billyin Heaven listen to some Dubliner songs and drink Guinness and Babycham...God bless Auntie Rose....Peter 🇬🇧
