<div itemprop="description">Roger Sydney Bickers, (Rog, Mr. B, Opa, Grandpa Rog, Dad) of Pickering, ON, passed away suddenly at Rouge Valley Hospital on Thursday December 11, 2014 at the age of 73 after a positive and determined 15-month battle with cancer. He was alert, in no pain and passed peacefully with his loving wife Sonya and daughter Wendy by his side. <br /> <br />Roger was born on July 24, 1941 in Ely, Cambridgeshire England. He was the middle child to his parents Sidney &amp; Constance (Connie) Bickers and is survived by his sister Brenda and brother David. <br /> <br />Devoted husband and soul mate of Sonya. Father to Roger and wife Casey; Wendy and spouse Scot. Step-father to Kristi and spouse Chris, Brandon and wife Mariya; Trevor and spouse Kate. Surrogate father to Dean and wife Holly; Jenn and spouse Shayne. <br /> <br />Grandfather to Benjamin, Carly, Daniel, Elizabeth, Meghan, Sydney, Katrina, Jaden, Amelia, River, Marcus, Wesley and Kyland. <br /> <br />Predeceased by wife Sharon. <br /> <br />Roger was a consummate gentleman who had great charisma, a positive outlook and was loved and admired by many. He touched the lives of everyone who had the pleasure to know him. He will be greatly missed and strongly remembered. <br /> <br />The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses in the Rouge Valley Chemotherapy Clinic for their exceptional compassion, care and support.
