I’ve always known you as my uncle na “Kastila” because of your good looks (mestizo features), and as a disciplinarian and hardworking man. We respected you for raising my cousins to be down to earth and well-behaved. I grew up hearing how you and Uncle Delfin worked very hard in the farm to help send your younger siblings to school at the expense of your education. You had fought and won many battles in life. May you rest in peace with our Lord.

Praying for the eternal repose of the soul of Uncle Totoy. I will always remember him as someone who used to tell my dad to be strict to my suitors “kasi mahirap na”. That’s how I looked at him as I was growing up. The protector of the Evangelitas. Rest in peace in the arms of our Lord, Uncle. And please give our love to all your cousins and uncles and aunts who are there with you.
