It is with a heavy heart that the Rodrigues family of Streetsville, Ontario announce the peaceful parting of their beloved father, and adoring husband David Tavares Rodrigues on June 13th 2023 at the age of 84.

David Tavares Rodrigues was born in a small village in the island of São Miguel, Portugal on December 8th 1938. At the young age of 18 he met his beautiful wife Maria Natalia Travassoss and within a couple of years the two became one and began their legacy.

In December of 1975 David and Maria arrived in Canada with their 6 children Esmeralda, David, Anabella, Joao, Artur and Ofelia. Shortly, thereafter they were blessed with their seventh child Sandy
David was a devout Christian and took to heart Bible Verse Genesis 1:28V 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, And so, he did. His family grew and flourished into five generations comprised of 7 children, 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. David will be missed by many including the family he created at the Portuguese Cultural Centre of Mississauga where he and his wife were members for over 25 years.
