CCH Canadian (now Wolters Kluwer) was my favourite publisher when I was a law librarian in the early '90s. CCH used to have an office in one of the Bentall towers in downtown Vancouver and whenever I needed something related to Canadian tax, Robin's name was always mentioned. I was fortunate to meet Robin at a Special Libraries Association conference in Philadelphia in June 2000, where she gave a presentation on Canadian Federal Income Tax. I was thrilled when Robin offered me a job to prepare bibliographies for the premier Canadian tax publication, CCH's Canadian Tax Reporter. Robin made it possible for me to co-write with Carol Mohammed the book, CCH Guide to Researching Canadian Income Tax in the Fall of 2005. I worked for Robin from October 2000 until she retired in April 2014. I will always remember Robin's classy and calm composure.
It was with great sadness that we learned of Robin's passing. We will be missing her always. Our deepest condolences go out to Teddy.
I am very saddened to hear of Robins passing. She was an amazing lady and I was privileged to work with her for many years. We shared several laughs together (her laugh was infectious) and I had the pleasure of going over to Robin and Teddy's for a meal and tour of their garden. She loved to talk about travel and her and Teddy were an incredible help to us when we finally made a trip to London. My deepest condolences to Teddy.
Teddy, we are so sorry for your loss. We were very sad to hear this news. Robin was a wonderful person and the best boss anyone could hope for. We loved working with her and will always think of her when we go to Stratford.
By chance I saw a copy of last weekend's Toronto Star and Robin's obituary caught my eye. A beautifully written tribute. I am so very sorry to hear of her passing and extend my deepest sympathy to her partner and best friend Teddy. May all your wonderful memories give you comfort.
