Bob's passing is a great loss. He had an amazing sense of humour. He was a warm and loving person.
We always remember Bob fondly for the sparkle in his eye, his many fun stories and especially (for Carol) his amazing dancing .. two-step, waltz, line and square dancing .. he was a natural! Thanks for the dances, Bob. We hope you are gliding on those heavenly clouds!
I just started a chance to get to know him after many years of not seeing him. He still had that pleasant manner I remember as a boy. God rest his soul
Bob was one of my oldest friends. We met when I was newly arrived from England in 1969 to teach at Dewson School. Bob and his family immediately "adopted" me and made me part of all their family occasions. In the same way my family in England loved it when Bob went to England on visits with them.. I loved teaching with Bob as we always knew each others' strengths and weaknesses. We also had a heck of a lot of fun together. on nights out...either separately or together!! I will miss Bob tremendously.
I'll always remember Bob with great affection.
For taking my big sister Iris under his wing when she first started teaching at Dewson School in 1969.
For his visits to England with friend Don where everyone who met him loved him - especially our parents - and for his humour and generosity (he once bought me a massive bottle of Patchouli oil which took me two years to get through).
For his love of old movies (which seem to have rubbed off on me)
But most of all for being a fun guy.
