In memory of

Robert (Bob) Pfister

February 15, 1931 -  September 30, 2021

Passed away peacefully with family by his side at the age of 90; he will be forever in our hearts. Bob was predeceased by his loving wife of 64 years, Barbara (Barb); dad to Cheryl, Susan (Hugh), Julie (Paul) and Karen; father-in-law to Dave Watt; grandpa to Valery, Stephen, Bryan, Allison, Sarah and Adam; great-grandpa to Mckenna, Raiden, Benjamin, Elizabeth, Jeremy and Travis; brother to the late Carl and Hans; brother-in-law to the late Shirley (Phil); uncle to many nieces and nephews. Our Dad enjoyed a very full life. He loved his family and he was proud of everyone’s accomplishments. Getting a good education and working hard were the foundations of his way of life and this was passed on to those who knew him. Mom and Dad shared some wonderful life experiences by travelling the globe. He enjoyed the outdoors, sailing and cottage life. He was opinionated and passionate about many subjects, most notably politics and taxation (a favourite pet peeve). Dad was well versed in the ways of the world. He shared his wealth of knowledge, kindness and the importance of family. To those that knew him, he was a true gentleman – full of integrity and honesty. Dad was devoted to his wife and family. Rest peacefully Dad. You are loved.

I always enjoyed seeing and talking with Uncle Bob, usually at Phil's cottage. He had such great perspectives on life and business. I know that his last few years were a struggle, and while it is sad to know that he is gone, it makes me happy to know that he is at peace and back with Barbra the Great. He will be greatly missed. My condolences to the Pfister Girls on the loss of your father.

I was extremely fond of Bob and grew closer to him over the years, especially After my own father passed away. He wasn't the most demonstrative person regarding his own emotions, but there was never a question how much his family meant to him and how much he loved them. I feel blessed to have had him in my life. I admired and valued his kindness, sense of humour, generosity and wisdom. He definitely had a major impact on my life and that of my own family. RIP.
