In memory of

Robert Neville "Bob, Robbie, Speedy" Gibson

August 24, 1939 -  September 9, 2024

With deep sadness, we said goodbye to Robert when he abruptly left this world on September 9, 2024. Predeceased by daughter Kim Gibson Vonscheidt, he is survived by his son Rawle (Ivy) and daughter Lee-Ann. Beloved grandpa to Kadaisha, Leron, Madison, Malikai, Rami, Darius and Kaitlyn.

He also leaves behind his dear sisters Grace, Nola, Joycelyn, Jean, Hazel (Keith), Lynette, brother Carl (May), nieces, nephews, and many friends as well as companion June Ann Sealey.

Robert was born in Nabaclis, Guyana but moved to England as a young man. After several years in the UK he immigrated with his young family to Canada. He spent 32 years in various positions and areas of TD Bank’s Executive Offices. As manager, Global Treasury and Operations, Robert’s responsibilities took him to the Bank’s many overseas and domestic locations. Not one to waste his spare time, he was also involved for many years with charitable groups in the Guyanese community; He was also Treasurer for the Peel Guyanese Association. His interests included travel, music, darts, dominoes and photography. Robert lived life to its fullest and we mourn his loss. We will miss him, his ready smile and his willingness to help others.

I was truly lucky and blessed to have you as a big brother. You were so amazing and compassionate, and always wore a sweet smile. Always there for me and my family during the good and bad (sad) times providing hope, love, and unconditional support. I know it’s true when they say “He only takes the Best”. Sleep on my sweet brother until we meet again.
Love you lots, missing you lots ❤️🙏🏼❤️

I have so many memories
Of the times we spent together
And even though you’re no longer here
I’ll cherish them forever

Until I see your smile again
I’ll hold you in my heart and mind
A shining example, my uncle
Of the best of humankind.

We miss you Uncle Robert

My sincere condolences to the Gibson family. Uncle Robert, as I have known him over the years, will be greatly missed for his jovial spirit and infectious laugh. Always smiling and very pleasant to be around. May the family find peace & comfort during this time of bereavement. Rest in peace, uncle Robert.
