MATTHEWS, Robert William “Bob”

Bob passed away at Lakeridge Health Oshawa after a valiant battle with cancer on November 29, 2024, the age of 85. Cherished husband and soulmate of Alice for over 63 years. Beloved father of Jill (Rob) and Jeff. Brother to Marilyn, and proud papa of Tyler. Bob will also be missed by extended family and many friends. He will be forever remembered for his love of family, curling, lawn bowling. The family wish to express their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of the Emergency Department and Cancer Care team at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for professionalism and care shown to Bob. As per his own wishes no formal funeral will be held. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations will be gratefully accepted for the Charity of your choice.
