Dear Rob,

I'm surprised to hear that you passed away. You were always so helpful in the lab courses. You were so knowledgeable about the equipments and the programs. You will be missed a lot at UofT Physics department!

The legacy that you leave behind at UofT will not be forgotten! I hope to become a great experimentalist and make you proud one day :)

Rest in peace, Rob. Thank you for all your hard work.

This is a great and very sad loss. I frequently coordinated the Advanced Physics Laboratory courses at the University of Toronto, and without doubt Rob was the most important factor in their success. He could build or fix almost anything, know both the apparatus and physics of all the experiments, and could make equipment work when no one else could. I would sometimes make a passing comment to Rob about some lab issue that wasn't his responsibility, and by the next time we talked he would have researched the problem and worked out a solution. He was very strongly committed to the students and was always there for them, and the course comments at the end of each semester reflected this, with many students expressing their thanks for all his help and praising his skills and dedication. We will all miss him very much.

Rob's unexpected passing left me very sad. I have known him for 20 years, we worked together for 12 years.
He will be missed for his dedication and incomparable hard work.
God bless his soul!
