Finally, free from pain and illness, he is now able to walk humbly with his God. Robert Ferguson passed away peacefully at Providence Centre on August 1, 2017. Loving husband and best friend to Bonnie, Big Brother to Lillian, Father to Bob, Mary Therese, Mike and Cathy. Father -in-law- to Carol, Bill Weir and Rosa. Grandfather to Joey, Billy, Jonathon and Brooke, Adopted Dad to Dinah Turola and her children, Emma and Nolan and Canadian Father to Vergie and Suzanne. Predeceased by parents, Lawrence and Emily, Brother Ken, son Frank and first wife and mother of his children, Bernadette. Also known as, Deacon Bob and Harmonica Bob while working in the community. Friends may call at PINE HILLS CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough (north of St. Clair Ave. E., 416-267-8229) on Monday August 7, 2017 for visitation from 2-4p.m. and 7-9p.m. A celebration of his life will take place on Tuesday August 8, 2017 at 1:30pm. Bob was a sweetheart of a man! He laughed readily and often. His compassion was evident in his interests and dedication. Both Bob and Bonnie were generous hosts who welcomed everyone to their home like family. Few people witness to the fullness of life. Bob was one of them!

Bonnie and Family,
We were saddened to hear of Bob's death today via Don McPhee and Tab Charbonneau.
We are unable to be with you tomorrow but please be aware of our sympathy and prayers.
We had a great experience going through the Diaconate together and meeting you at our 25th anniversay of Ordination.
You have always been in my daily prayers and that will continue to be the case for as long as I am "stood standing" - as they say in Yorkshire!!
