In memory of

Robert Dahlke

October 15, 1942 -  April 16, 2024

It is with great sadness that we share the sudden passing of Robert (Bob) Allen Dahlke on April 16, 2024 at Credit Valley Hospital. Bob led a wonderful and blessed life, leaving us at the age of 81. Bob was born to Eunice and Guntrum Dahlke. He will be fondly remembered by his beloved wife, Violet; brother Lawrence (Nancy) Dahlke; his four daughters Stephanie (Marcel) Meyer, Laura (Ian) Cull, Jennifer Perez and Galena McDonald; and grandchildren Sara and Kendell (Sophia) Lakin, Bronson, Maverik and Raquel Perez, and Sam McDonald.
Bob was a Professional Chartered Accountant whose blurred lines of clients and friendship made for wonderful and endearing relationships. He was kind and generous, and quick to laugh – especially at himself. He enjoyed his football and documentaries. He was an avid reader, and appreciated well researched history and politics.

Bob took great pleasure in being on the greens for a round of golf and loved to go curling with friends; one of his proudest moments was when his team achieved an 8 ender. He truly enjoyed playing bridge, and Tuesday’s games were important to him, as were all his friends at the bridge club.

He loved to travel with his wife Violet, and as an accomplished amateur photographer, he put together beautiful travelogues of everyplace they visited.
His daughters were one of his biggest joys in life, and he looked forward to their weekly (and often more) telephone calls, and their frequent visits were one of the highlights of his life.

He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Always enjoyed playing bridge with Robert. Even when the cards were a disaster, Robert had a smile and a comment to make the game more enjoyable.

I’m very saddened to learn about the loss of dear Robert. We played bridge at Edenwood Church many times. He was a good bridge player and always very pleasant. His passing is a loss to the bridge community.
