It is with heavy hearts the family of Robert Charles Smith announces his sudden passing on Wednesday December 27, 2023 at home with his family in Brampton, Ontario at the age of 55. Ricky was a loving husband of 20 years to his beloved wife Louise and cherished by family and friends. Ricky was an adoring Father to his children Miguel, Anjali and Levon.

Ricky will be greatly missed by his Mother Una May Morrison, grandmother Anita Morrison, siblings Evan England, Joy England, Delroy England, Hopie Johnson, Christopher Powell, Leacraft England, Daniel England, Annette England, Glendon England, Hopeton England. Ricky leaves his favourite niece Tamara Andrews and her children Ariyana and Johlee. Sadly missed by his in laws Michael and Elaine Hall as well as his brother in law Steven Hall and sister in law Alison Gembes (Charles). Predeceased by his Father Edward England and his beloved Aunty Lou, Mavis Simms as well as cousin Peter. Ricky leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in Jamaica, Bermuda, USA, England and Canada.

Ricky was a letter carrier for Canada Post and was diligent in his work, he lit up the floor and was always singing in the depot. Ricky was a compassionate, caring and selfless man who always fought for equality and justice. Ricky was a Rastaman who was a prominent member of the David House community in Kingston, Jamaica. Ricky loved soccer, cricket, music and to dance. He loved to reason and learn from difficult cultures. Ricky would help anyone in the time of need and was a very natural person. From his days in Robertsfield, Mavis Bank to Papine and all around the island of Jamaica, everyone knew Ricky, aka Ninja aka Asha Gong and respected him.

In keeping with Ricky’s wishes, he will be laid to rest and stories and tributes may be shared on www.mountpleasantgroup.com.
