October 15, 1938 - October 29, 2020

Robert Burns Cassells passed away peacefully at home at the age of 82 on October 29th, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a loving, caring husband to Marguerite, grandfather and father figure to Shane, Amanda and Ashley, uncle to James, Kirk, Scott and Shakeela, brother in law to Pat and Ed, step father to Rob, Monique and Christopher, friend and colleague (SKF) to many who will miss him. He was a man full of integrity with a heart of gold; always lifting up everyone around him with his dry wit humour, engaging stories, and intellect. Due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, the funeral service will be live streamed from Pine Hills cemetery on Monday November 2nd, 2020 at 11:00 am EST. Link for live stream will be attached here Monday Nov 2nd .

Bob was to me was a father in-law, he introduced me to bird watching and occasionally emailed me a silly story or joke. Whenever we were together he was always kind, witty and empathetic.
