In memory of

Robert MacFarlane

February 6, 1937 -  May 9, 2020

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Robert 'Bob' MacFarlane on Saturday May 9, 2020, in his 83rd year at the Camilla Care long term care home in Mississauga where he had been living since February of this year.

Bob leaves behind his two sons, Robert (Patty) and Jason (Helena); grandchildren Lacey, Colin, Lily and Adrian as well as daughter in law Marian. Bob is survived by his brothers Angus (Wendy) of Barrie and Jim (Barbara) of BC as well as sister in law Judy (Tommy) of Kenora. Predeceased by his wife Doreen, brothers Peter and Tommy and sisters Betty and Annette.

Bob was a larger than life character who's nicknames 'Large' and 'Highway Bob' certainly speaks for themselves. Bob's career as a transport truck driver spanned many years.
He also was an avid huntsman and fisherman. Bob loved attending and betting on horse racing especially the trotters. This pastime did not make him a rich man but a happy one!

A private burial service to take place at Pine Hills Cemetery May 12th with the hopes of having a celebration of Bob's life in the future.

Rest easy Dad.
