April 23, 1924 – June 20, 2017

With great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mother, on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the age of 93 after a lengthy illness.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Jean Prosper Allain.

Reina leaves behind 4 children, Guy (Pat), Lil, Linda (Doug) and Gerald (Ulrike), all of Toronto and her grandchildren Jessica (Alan), Caitlin (Jeff), Philip, Rachel and great-granddaughter Addison.

Reina will be missed by extended family in Quebec and Ontario.

After leaving Gaspé to begin teaching in other areas of Quebec, Reina met Prosper in Montreal through mutual friends. Soon after getting married they relocated to Toronto where they settled down and raised their family. Reina was an avid reader, loved knitting and enjoyed traditional Quebecois music. Close friends and family will miss her mischievous and creative sense of humour.

Friends & family may call at PINE HILLS CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough (north of St. Clair Ave. E., 416-267-8229) on Thursday, June 22 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM & on Friday, June 23 from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM
