We are sad to lose Richard, a wonderful member of St. James United church who was always ready with a welcoming smile and ready to help out. He leaves behind a beautiful family - our thoughts and prayers are with Christine, Andrew and Diana, who have been so strong throughout this battle with brain cancer. Hugs to all of you!
"The tide recedes, but leaves behind bright seashells on the sand;
The sun goes down, but gentle warmth still lingers on the land;
The music stops....and yet it echoes on in sweet refrains.
For every joy that passes something beautiful remains."

Remembering Richard in his commitment to, and his passion for his volunteer duties at St. James, and the legacy he leaves in performing those functions.
May his family take solace in the knowledge that his was a race well run. Wishing them serenity in their moments of grief.

They live on earth in thought and deed, as truly as in His Heaven."

Sending condolences to you, Christine, as well as your children and family.
I will make every effort to be at the memorial.
Richard was a great person, loved his family, his church and will be missed.
Please accept my condolences on the passing of Richard. It was an honor to have known and work with such a great person like him. May God embrace Richard's family in comfort during this difficult time.
Many fond memories growing up as boys in Burlington during family gatherings.
