It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of Rheta Margret Jobes (nee Schmidt) on October 31, 2024 in her 93rd year.

Beloved wife to the late Thomas Cowan (2007). Dear mother to Darryl (Brenda) Jobes, and Karen (Bill) Price. Proud grandmother to Jenna (Luke), James (Melanie), Nicole (Morgan), Amanda, Zachary (Melissa). She was blessed to have 5 great grandchildren; Liam, Benjamin, Owen, Jack and Ruby.

She will be lovingly remembered and missed by extended family and dear friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

In keeping with Rheta’s wishes, cremation has occurred. A Catholic Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday November 13, 2024 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Peace Church, 3914 Bloor Street West, Etobicoke, ON M9B 1L7. Guests are invited to remain after the Mass for a reception in the parish hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Rheta’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
