Man Yu-Mai Lai 黎敏校長

Passing into God’s bosom peacefully at his home in the morning of December 31, 2020 (Thursday) at the age of 88, Man Yu-Mai was the beloved husband to Schumann (nee Lai) for 62 years, loving father to Alexander and Elena, and loving maternal grandfather to Kimberly and Sabrina.

A member of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui (HKSKH, Anglican Church of Hong Kong), Man Yu-Mai worked first as licensed teacher and then thirty years as principal in several government subsidized primary schools operated by the Anglican Church, earning the love and support of teachers and the admiration of the Hong Kong Education Department. As principal, he served many years in leadership positions in the Sheng Kung Hui Primary Schools Council Principal Conference, making a lot of contribution.

He was actively serving God also in all three levels of church governance – vestry, diocesan synod and general synod, occupying different decision-making positions. With a former background in journalism, he was, specifically, chief editor from 1987 to 2007 of Echo, the weekly newspaper of HKSKH. He had tried his utmost for the church.

Owing to COVID-19 restrictions imposed by the Ontario government, the maximum number of people allowed in a funeral home aside from paid staff here in the Greater Toronto Area is ten. 1932年10月11 – 2020年12月31日

黎敏校長於2020年12月31日(週四)早上在家安息主懷,享年88歲。他是黎舒曼女士結婚62年的愛夫,又是黎希賢和黎念華的親愛父親、並何穎恩及何穎思的親愛外祖父。

黎校長是香港聖公會信徒,在聖公會津貼小學擔任過教員、並三十年校長,深得教員的愛戴和香港教育署的賞識。身為校長,他多年在聖公會小學監理委員會屬校校長會擔任重要領導職位,供獻良多。

黎校長也在牧區、教區和教省三個層面上積極事奉上帝,擔任過不同決策崗位。基於新聞學背景,他從1987至2007年擔任香港聖公會的週報 –《教聲》– 總編輯,為教會盡心竭力。

鑒於安省政府頒佈的新冠病毒管制,在大多倫多地區的殯儀服務中心在受薪員工以外,最多只能有10個人在內。除了家人和已被邀請的親戚共10位以外,現誠摯邀請所有弟兄姊妹及親戚朋友按以下連結,參加以下網上聚會
