Pui King Leung Lau 劉梁佩琼

In sadness and fond memory, the family announces the passing away of their beloved mother and grandmother Pui-King Leung LAU on July 11, 2018. Surrounded by her family, she passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Scarborough Hospital.

Lived fully for 97 years and adored affectionately by the family, Pui King a.k.a. “Mom / Ah-Por / ma-ma” is a charming, strong, kind, and witty lady who will be greatly missed by all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Born in Hong Kong on September 29, 1920, Pui King was raised and provided education by her foster family. She married to LAU, ying and together they struggled to survive the war. Despite the post-war hardship, they had raised five children with all they had and much love. They had also taken care of many of her grandchildren with unconditional love. After her husband passed away in 1993, Pui King moved to Canada in the same year and since then she had been living with the family.

Pui King is survived by her five children, eldest daughter Susan Siu-Ling and son-in-law Benny CHEUNG, second daughter Lena Wai-Ling and son-in-law Kenneth Wing AU-YEUNG, eldest son Chi Keung, and daughter-in-law Sau-Chun CHU, second son Chi-Wai and daughter-in-law Bo-Yuk WONG, youngest daughter Flora Mei-Ling and son-in-law Philip Yu-Tak CHONG. She was blessed with seven grandchildren: Kevin AU-YEUNG and granddaughter-in-law Maggie MOK, Norman AU-YEUNG, Ricky LAU, Jacky LAU, Victoria CHEUNG and grandson-in-law Constantine BLETSAS, Roger LAU and Erika CHONG, and two great grandchildren Kyle and Liam AU-YEUNG.

With her heavenly cooking skills, genuine care and love for her family, "Ah Por" was the magnet that had drawn the entire family across four generations together. Dedicated her entire life for the family, she is well respected and loved by every family member. Her infectious smile and gracious presence will always be remembered by many whose life was touched by her.
