**In Loving Memory of Prem Lata Mahajan**

Prem Lata Mahajan, aged 75, passed away on August 23th, after a lengthy battle with a debilitating disease, which she fought with everything in her being. Born on September 26th, 1948, she lived a life full of grace, compassion, and unwavering love for those around her.

A devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, Prem was the heart of her family. She raised her children with boundless love and dedication, teaching them the values of kindness, humility, and resilience. Her life's work and purpose were to show love and support to her family, a devotion that surpassed all else.

Prem was a gifted classical vocalist and musician. Her passion for music extended into teaching, touching many students through the years. Through her music, she brought joy and beauty to many, and her performances were a reflection of her soul’s depth and grace. Yet, despite her talent and accomplishments, it was her role as a mother and grandmother that she cherished most.

Prem will always be remembered for her beauty, generosity, and grace, qualities that made her forever larger than life. She was a true artist, with a deep love for anything that inspired her creativity—from cooking to art, to music, to photography. She cherished her "ladies' lunches," where she shared laughter and memories with dear friends. Her warm smile, generous heart, and the love she shared with everyone she met will continue to inspire those who knew her.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Surinder Nath Mahajan, her children, Sumit Mahajan and Puja Mahajan, her loving grandchildren Shaunik and Armaan, and countless friends who were fortunate to know her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation in her memory. https://cpff.ca/donate/#donate-online

May her Atma (soul) be at peace now. Om Shanti Om.

A wonderful person, very compassionate, concerned with well being of people around her all the time. She helped me a lot in my struggle to learn classical Indian music in which she was superb, may God rest her soul in peace...

I'm so devastated by the loss of my beloved Auntie. Her beauty and her smile always took my breath away. I remember waiting in anticipation for her to sing when we had music evenings in my childhood home. Such talent ! I can see my father now, nodding his head in appreciation. When I was an adult, I remember staying overnight at Uncle and Auntie's house in Montreal. It was such a gift to get to know her as an adult. I shall miss her beautiful, welcoming smile, always so full of affection. May you rest in peace 🙏, Auntie.
