In memory of

Philip Sam 岑適康先生

December 29, 1943 -  September 24, 2024

We write this in loving memory of Philip Sam. He leaves behind his wife, daughter and son-in-law and two grandchildren, whom he adored. He loved spending time with his grandkids, playing hide and seek with them and listening to them play piano and violin. He loved to listen to them sing the “Grandpa Song”. He was a hardworking and honest businessman who built up his insurance brokerage in Toronto after coming to Canada from Hong Kong in 1970. He was quite involved in the Toronto Chinese Business Association and received recognition from the city for his volunteer work and contributions to Chinatown. He was taken away to be with the Lord on Sept. 24, 2024 and is now in the loving hands of God.

Psalm 23: "The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

Justina,
I want you to know that I am thinking of you and your family at this time. The death of a parent is a life transition that no person can ever prepare for. I hope that you know that your dad was very proud of you and of your accomplishments. May he rest in peace.

Hello Justina I just heard the news about Phillip I wish to offer you my sympathies and prayers that he is now with Jesus. May you find comfort in that fact as you go through the valleys of mourning, and may you also discover the hidden joy that can be only found in knowing Christ.
