In memory of

Peter Ka-Shing Lee

November 2, 1958 -  December 30, 2023

Peter was born in Hong Kong as the youngest of three children to loving parents, Peter Ping Kai Lee and Victoria Sau Ching Kong. He grew up in Toronto and studied at Fanshawe College in the Music Industry Arts Recording Engineering Program in London, Ontario.

In his younger days, Peter made successful inroads in the music recording industry and mentored countless individuals to their successful careers in music. He was recognized for many recordings including those for Juno-award country artist Cassandra Vasic, Jennifer Rush Album-Passion, “Tears Are Not Enough” by famed Canadian artists to raise funds for Africa.

In recent years, Peter’s affable personality led him to become a mortgage broker, a career he passionately loved. He had many friends and colleagues who supported his endeavours.

Peter was fun-loving, generous, full of optimism and courageous disposition. He was always up for a delicious meal and a good laugh.

Peter passed suddenly on December 30, 2023 with his sisters, Veronica and Josephine, by his side. He also left behind an extended family with some overseas. Peter will be greatly missed. Our family is grateful to everyone who came into Peter’s life; you enriched him and your friendship meant the world to him.

You are invited to honour Peter at a Memorial Service at York Cemetery, 160 Beecroft Road, Toronto between 10-11:30am on Friday January 19, 2024. A private family Interment will follow.

In lieu of flowers, a personal donation in Peter’s memory may be brought to the Memorial Service or send to peter.memorial2024@gmail.com. Friends are encouraged to include a message in the Guest Book below.

I met Peter in1990 in the recording studios of Sounds Interchange. What a great pleasure to know and work with him. I am very saddened of this loss of life - I will always remember him as will many others who knew and worked with him, as an excellent Recording Engineer, great spirited person who had a passion for music with a set of "Golden Ears". RIP Peter Lee
