In memory of

Pete Christidis

December 26, 1958 -  January 16, 2024

Pantelis, Pane, or as some might have known him as Pete or Pancho was born in the village of Armensko Lerinsko on December 26, 1958 to Deme and Mara Christidis. In the summer of 1965 Pane along with his mother Mara, grandmother Sofia, brother Tran and sister Freida left Armensko to join their father Deme in Toronto to start a new life. They crossed the Atlantic Ocean by ship arriving in Halifax and later at Union Station. The family settled in East York on Torrens Avenue in their first home that his father bought to welcome the family to Toronto. Later the family moved to north Scarborough.
Pete had many different jobs throughout his life from working as a courier for a number as different companies, that was followed Bulova Watch, Sprint Canada, Greyhound and most recently in the housing construction industry. He had a great love for fishing and golfing and especially everything related to the village of Armensko.

Pete is survived by his 3 children Nicholas, Alexander and Samantha, his father Deme, brother Tom (late Kathy) and sister Freida (Tom) and their families, and nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother Mara in 2020.

On behalf of Pete’s family we thank you all for your love and support at this difficult time. May he Rest in Peace.

I knew Pete as a generous and knowledgeable man.

Pete was the most sincere, happy person who greeted us at the Club every time he was there and offered a helping hand when needed. Most days he would have a joke or funny story to start our day off on the right foot. Above all Pete was gentleman.
Pete we miss you already, it won’t ever be the same without you. Rest in Peace our friend.

Pete always made my days at SunnyBrae better. He always had a smile on his face and was a father figure to me. He always made sure I was doing ok. My nickname for him was “Petey boy”, which I called him every day I saw him. He will be deeply missed and it won’t be the same without him. ❤️

RIP Uncle Pete. Gone way too soon. Never forgot that you taught me how to skate and changed my golf swing forever! You will be missed, but never forgotten!

We were shocked and saddened by the loss of Peter. Our deepest condolences to all of his family and friends. To say Peter was a character, is an understatement. His George Clooney voice was often heard over the fence making jokes and kidding around. He would call out to our daughter asking to see the princess. He got Sebastian to take up golfing and they recently reconnected and golfed regularly. He is gone way too soon. I will pray for his spirit to rest in peace and for his family to find comfort in your memories of good times. Godspeed
