In memory of
Pauline Culley
June 21, 1937 - July 13, 2018
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Pauline Elizabeth Culley, aged 81, on Friday July 13th.
Pauline was born in Mandeville Jamaica where she spent her formative years. She had many happy childhood memories from boarding school and long-lasting friendships originating from that time. At eighteen, she came to Canada and enrolled at the University of Toronto, completing a degree in Geography. Soon afterwards she entered Teacher’s College. She taught kindergarten at several schools, most notably Dundas Public School from where she retired. Pauline was a very caring person and chose to teach in inner-city schools for her whole career. Students there adored her and would frequently come back to visit. She also took time from teaching and worked as a secretary at Pillsbury and Nesbitt Thompson.
Pauline had a strong social conscience and was part of the Outreach team at Eglinton St Georges United Church for many years, even through declining health.
Pauline was the youngest of 4 children. She is remembered by her sisters, Monica Pritchard (Morley) and Marjorie Flower (John) predeceased by her brother Gerald (Laura) Culley. Nephews and nieces: Stephen (Kim), Heather Ann (Douglas), Michael (Penny), Rob (Christine), Linda (Adrian) and their children will all miss Auntie P.
She will also be remembered by many friends in Canada, as well as extended family in the UK.
A memorial will be at the Funeral Centre at Mt Pleasant Cemetery in Toronto on Friday July 20th.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a social-outreach or children's charity in Pauline’s memory.

A fellow tennis fan; although we did not meet often, Pauline will always be remembered fondly, going back to our time as fellow boarders at SAHS.
