Dear family and friends,

It is with deep sense of sorrow and loss that we announce the unexpected passing of Paula Szeto on September 5th, 2018, at the age of 44. Paula was born in Ottawa, Ontario, on January 15th 1974 to Jean Szeto and the late John Szeto. Paula will be dearly missed by her husband Quyen, her son Zachary, her brother Jason, and her mother Jean. She will be lovingly remembered by all her dear uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends who have watched and accompanied her growth into the exceptional person that she became.

Paula graduated with a degree in Occupational Therapy in 1997 at the University of Toronto and, over the course of more than 20 passionate years, proudly practiced her profession through patient treatment, mentoring, and teaching. She was an integral part of the Occupational Therapy community in Toronto, and exemplified the spirit of patient therapy and healing through her collaboration, patience, and dedication.

A viewing will be held at the Chapel at York Cemetery & Funeral Centre on Friday, September 14th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A memorial service will take place at the same location on Saturday, September 15th starting shortly after 9:00 AM. Guests who would like to attend the burial ceremony are also invited to join Paula’s family at the burial site in the cemetery a short drive (~5 minutes) away from the Chapel. I had the pleasure of sitting on the College of Occupational Therapist of Ontario Council. Paula was an energetic, passionate, and knowledgeable member of Council who served her profession with pride and skill.
I'm shocked and deeply saddened by her departure and wish her family much strength, guidance and friendship at this difficult time.
God Bless!!!

My world has shattered and I am numb. Paula, you were truly an angel here on earth that brightened the lives of all those who had the fortune to have known you. You exemplified beauty, poise and wisdom. My kindred spirit and bff, I will miss your smile and wit, but most of all, your friendship and love.
P &T forever and always.🕊🕊🕊🌼
