On her 50th Wedding Anniversary Thursday May 25, 2017 at the age of 67 years Paula passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family following a courageous battle with cancer.
Paula will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her husband Barry and her three children Dawn (Shawn) Stokes, Robin and Scott (Viviana Piedrahita). Proud Grammy of Adam, Kristy, Luis and Evan and Great Grammy to Jennifer and Michael and her longtime best friend Mary Kinch.
She is lovingly remembered by her many siblings from Prince Edward Island Freda (late Adrian) Tignish; Sylvia (late Robert) Summerside; Wilbert (Irene) Tignish; Susan (late Ronnie) Summerside; Richard (Florence) Tignish; Victor (Dianne) Mill River; Roy (Edith) Summerside; Brian (Bev) Christopher's Cross; Chris (James) Charlottetown; and many many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Walter and Mary, infant brother John Kenneth, Michael and Clifford (Marie) and sister Wilma (Roger).
Barry and his children would like to thank all our family and friends for their support. A big thank you to Chris and Susan for the round the clock caregiving, without them mom would have not been able to spend her remaining days at home surrounded by her loved ones. Would also like to thank the palliative care team for all their support.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life on Thursday June 1 2017 at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre at 1535 South Gateway Rd. Mississauga, ON from 4 - 8pm. In lieu of flowers donations to Princess Margaret Hospital would be appreciated.
Everyone in PEI will be given a chance to say goodbye. There will be a memorial in Tignish with a date to be announced.
