It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Tantakis on Thursday October 26, 2023 with his family by his side.
Born in northern Greece on September 26,1940. Son of John and Evanthia also of Greece. Paul immigrated to Toronto at the age of 19, where he met and married the love of his life Sophia Chatzopoulos. Sophia passed away in May of 1990.
A knowledgeable and skilled mechanic and electrician for more than 40 years. Paul worked first as a technician and later as a trusted leader.
In addition to his family, his one true passion was his cottage in Minden Ontario. Paul took great pride in transforming a diamond in the rough into an oasis, where he delighted in entertaining family and friends. Paul enjoyed ballroom dancing and trips to Cuba with his longtime companion Winnie.
Paul is survived by son Chris (wife Lori), Albany NY, daughter Penny, Toronto, son Mark (wife Tracey), Pickering and five grandchildren: Katelyn, Carley, Liam, Sophia, and John, and by his sister Christine,(husband George), Ayr, Ontario.
