Uncle Paul, your passing has immediately left a hole in our family’s hearts. You were always the most loving and caring uncle to Nick, Tom and I and the best brother-in-law to our parents. Almost every Saturday night growing up was spent together at either one of our houses making us not two families but one. We are so thankful for all the years of love, hugs, laughs and irreplaceable memories. As a child during a lengthy hospital stay, you came to visit me countless times during the day before you went to work in the evening to the point that hospital staff treated you on your arrival much like a parent. Each visit you reminded me to have courage and strength and was always filled with so much love.
From when I was little through to some of our last visits as an adult, you would squish my face and tell me “I’m going to eat you” followed by the greatest hug and kisses. It made me laugh each and every time and I will never forget the feeling.
When it came to fighting this battle with cancer, you showed just as much if not more courage and strength that you always told me to have. You were the most brave and genuine human being. Our “gentle giant”. WE WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER.
May your rest in peace and your memory be eternal.
My sincere condolences John and family. Paul is in my thoughts and prayers.
So sorry John and family for the loss of your dear father.
You loved him so much and you did your level best to your ability.
Praying for you to get strength at this trying time.
