In memory of

Patricia “Trish” Chalmers

Trish Chalmers (aka Bella) died peacefully in her sleep in hospital on December 20, 2024 following her fourth battle with colon cancer. Trish and Mark Sawyer spent 24 years together proudly raising four children; Patricia, Peter, Keith and Greg; devoted grandmother to Gemma, Hana, Braeden, Audrey, Andi and Ava. Trish was born in Winnipeg to the late Dorothy (Willoughby) and Alfred Chalmers, survived by her sisters Kathleen Williams and Anne Hartley.

After graduating from “Richview Collegiate” she pursued a short lived career in law enforcement but quickly transitioned back to her passion of dealing with people and tending bar. Her charismatic personality lead her to a rewarding 33 year career at “Workers Compensation” starting in “Adjudication” and retiring as an “Appeals Resolution Officer” (aka Judge Trish).

Trish had an uncanny ability to light up a room entertaining with humorous jingles and stories. She was an avid skier, tennis player, swimmer, golfer and aerobics dancer earning enter stage for the “Skydome” opening. Her extraordinary cooking and baking ability lead her to create “Trish’s Dishes”, providing neighbourhood seniors meals and treats during Covid.

Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2025 from 12:00 to 2:00pm at “Simple Alternative’s”, 1535 South Gateway Road (off Dixie Road), Mississauga. Please join us and share your memories. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice.
