Thank you for all the treasured memories over 40 years. I am so glad you picked my brother and were an essential part of our family.
You always lit up the room when you walked in. You taught us how to live and laugh and loved a good party.
I will never forget you. You brought so much joy to my life.

Rest now.

Love JoAnn

Dear Stan and Lesley-Ann
Our thoughts and prayers are with you both at this sad sad time.
We will always remember Patty for laughter and good cheer.
Whenever she was around you would be sure of a friendly greeting.
She was one of the very few people that visited my mom when she was
in Bridgepoint for her hip surgery.
She was taken far too young!
So sorry we can't come to pay our respects at the funeral, but if you need anything that we can give, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Again we are sending our love and sympathies to you both.
Love Olleen and Wayne Boissoneau

I was so shocked and heart broken to hear the news of Aunt Patty’s sudden passing. She was such a sweet, kind, extremely loving, and selfless person. I remember having fun on our travels to Florida every year, and how kind she was to me. She used to make everyone laugh, and I will always have clear images of her dancing, smiling and just being a fun free spirited soul. She always had a smile on her face, and she loved to joke just like Grandpa. I can still hear her laugh and smell her trademark Angel perfume. She was so social, funny, and always the life of the party. She cared about everyone and she always made an effort to check in on the family. I will miss her Sunday check in messages dearly, as she always sent me a loving message every Sunday since losing my Mom to say she was there and to send love from the family. This meant so so very much to me, and I will never forget it. Anyone who knew her could see that being a Mom was her heart and soul. She loved Lesley Ann beyond words, and she was so very proud of her every single day. My heart goes out to Lesley Ann and uncle Stan, my heart hurts for you deeply as you navigate this difficult time. My condolences to the rest of the family as well. You and Aunt Patty will always be in my thoughts. Please take care during this difficult time and biggest of hugs to you all xoxox love cousin Kari

I am very shocked and sadden to hear the news of Aunt Pat's sudden passing. My father Bill (brother) and her were very close siblings and I have lot of great memories of Aunt Pat. After my dad had a stroke 7 years ago she made sure to make regular weekly visits to see him at Bridgepoint where he still resides today. Aunt Pat has been such a great sister to my father and she will be deeply missed my him and the rest of the family. Rest in Peace Aunt Patty.

Life Stories

Lesley-Ann & Stan Abbott (Daughter/Husband)

Entered January 27, 2021 from Scarborough

Patty was a loving, caring, wife, mother, sister and friend. Patty always put her family and friends before her wants and needs.
Patty loved life and showed that by attending as many family celebrations as possible.
Her greatest times were when our daughter Lesley-Ann came to stay for a weekend or at Christmas time. Patty wanted her to stay longer, but knew it wouldn't be long before she would see her.

Patty enjoyed going on trips with family to places such as New Orleans, San Francisco and Alaska to name a few.
Her most cherished moment was going to Hawaii. It was her long-time dream come true.

Patty enjoyed going to concerts. Her favourite bands were the Rolling Stones and Blue Rodeo. We often went to Tuesday jazz night and Saturday afternoon for Rock music at the Salty Dog in the Beach. These events were as much to do with being social with staff and patrons who became friends as it was listening to the music.

Patty loved going to sporting events, such as the Blue Jays and Toronto Rock lacrosse. We watched both of those teams win championships. Patty also loved watching the Leafs and the Raptors and would cheer the teams on.

Patty loved shopping trips with family and going out for dinner.
She loved talking on the phone and texting family on Sunday to ask how they were doing and wish them well.
Going to the casino and theatre were also favourite pastimes.

Patty had a rare ability to make people feel better or smile just by her presence. She always wanted to make everyone feel special.

Patty enjoyed going to the beach where we enjoyed a picnic lunch.
To help pass the time during covid, we would try and go for daily walks.

Patty often visited her brother Bill, who she would look forward to seeing.

Patty would always care about her appearance. Taking time with her hair and make-up, and matching the clothing that she wore.

Patty was truly a marvelous lady who lived life to the fullest and made everybody she came in contact with a better person.
