It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Houston (nee McKay), who left us peacefully on October 3rd, surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her loving husband William White Houston. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she touched the hearts of many.

She will be deeply missed by her daughter Catrona and her husband Nelson, daughter Lorraine, and son Mark and his wife Mallory. She will also be missed by her grandchildren Ethan, Evelyn and Connor Pacheco, and Emmy and River Houston, and of course her dog, Shadow. In addition, she is survived by her beloved brother Ian McKay and his wife Helen, and Helen’s son Adam. She will be greatly missed by her cousin Joyce and her husband George back in Scotland.

Patricia was born on April 6, 1945 in Glasgow, Scotland. She moved to Toronto in 1967 where she met Billy, who she later married in 1972. She worked several years at the TTC in Toronto, before they moved to Streetsville, and later Brampton, where they grew their family together.

In her younger days she enjoyed bowling and darts. Other hobbies included cheering on her kids and eventually, grandchildren at their sporting events, going on shopping outings, watching her favourite shows like Coronation Street, Real Housewives and Below Deck, spending time with her family and going for scooter rides with Shadow.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday October 9th at the Meadowvale Funeral Centre in Brampton. Should you wish, contributions to the Canadian Blood Services in her memory would be appreciated.
