Obituary for Pantelis “Peter” Kadas

Pantelis “Peter” Kadas was born in Komi Arcadia, Peloponnese, Greece, to Konstantinos Kadas and Theodora (née Alexopoulos). He was the beloved brother of the late Panagiota Katsandonis, Ioannis Kadas, and Demetrios Kadas, and is survived by his siblings Panagiotis Kadas and Kristina Kiprislis.

In 1972, Peter immigrated to Canada, embarking on a new chapter of his life. In October 1974, he met the love of his life, Angeliki (née Miliotis), and just three weeks later, on November 18, 1974, they began their lifelong journey together as husband and wife.

Peter was a man of humility, simplicity, and an unyielding spirit of generosity. His life was a testament to his deep love and unwavering devotion to his family and friends.

He was a proud and loving father to Theodora Kadas, Gina Kadas, and Gus Kadas, and served as a guardian and guiding presence for his grandsons Peter Kadas and Yanni Kadas. Peter’s joy extended to his cherished grandchildren, Alexia Mauro, Stefan Mauro, Athena Mauro, and Demetri Mauro, with whom he shared countless treasured moments.

After a fulfilling career, Peter retired from The Lambton Golf and Country Club at the age of 65, dedicating his time wholeheartedly to his family.

Peter faced a two-year battle with lung cancer with immense courage and strength, defying many odds along the way. His resilience and determination were a source of inspiration to all who knew him.

Peter’s legacy of kindness, devotion, and unwavering commitment to his loved ones will be forever remembered. May his memory be eternal.

My uncle will ultimately be remembered for being the kindest, most giving person, most humble human being. I loved him dearly and only wish I could have seen him before he left us.
