In memory of

Pamela Rayment

January 24, 1932 -  October 14, 2023

With sadness, the family of Pamela Rayment (nee Warland) announces her sudden passing at home on Saturday, October 14, 2023. Pam leaves behind her husband of 70 years, Cliff; sons Bruce (Holly), Steve (Sheila), Paul (Lori), and Jeff (Jennifer); grandchildren Simon (Karen), Sean (Hannah), Clare, Jane, and Jesse; and great-grandchildren Delta, Flora, and Ronan. Pam was pre-deceased by her brother Peter Warland.

In post-WWII England, Pam and Cliff met in the youth hostel association. After marrying and emigrating to Canada, Pam and Cliff settled down in Montreal where Pam was more than busy raising four sons. Re-locating the family to Toronto, she re-started her child-care career, working at a much-loved local nursery school. In her spare time, Pam enjoyed performing in amateur theatre, primarily with the Scarborough Players, and led the local Girl Guides.

After retiring from teaching, she volunteered at the Toronto Zoo and North York General Hospital. She was also a member of the Serenata Singers seniors’ choir.

Pam will be remembered and missed for her love and generous support of her family and friends, and her love of animals and nature.

A private cremation for family members took place Saturday, October 21. A celebration of life will be held at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre (375 Mount Pleasant Rd.) on Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 2 pm - 4pm, we will be sharing memories at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to either the Toronto Zoo or North York General Hospital.
