In Loving Memory
Paget Warner, born in St.Kitts, West Indies, on June 11, 1945, passed away after a hard fought battle with cancer, on the evening of Friday, June 23, 2023, surrounded by loved ones.
Paget migrated to Canada in 1965, where much of his professional career was spent at Scotia Cassels, as a Portfolio Manager.
He is survived by his daughter Jillian and her family; step-daughters Cheryl and Leigh and their families; sisters: Sarah, Olivia and Margaret and their families; much loved cousins and friends; and spouse, Mary Abdool Warner.
Paget will forever be remembered for his passion for food, travel, golf and good whiskey. He will also be remembered for his support, generosity, and encouragement to anyone with a dream, his sense of humour, his inexplicable tenacity, commitment to community, gratitude and deep love for God.
Paget used his humble beginnings as motivation to persevere. Through life’s trials, failures and accomplishments, he never lost sight of the importance of giving his time and sharing with others and keeping the doors he walked through open, so others could do the same.
His legacy lives.
At Paget’s request, In lieu of flowers, please forward donations to St. Mary and St. Martha Anglican Church, 1149 Weston Road, Toronto Ontario M6N 3S3 or by e-transfer to: giving@stmaryandstmartha.org
DO IT ANYWAY
People are often unreasonable and self-centered.
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives.
Be kind anyway.
If you are honest, people may cheat you.
Be honest anyway.
If you find happiness, people may be jealous.
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough.
Give your best anyway.
For you see, in the end, it is between you and God.
It was never between you and them anyway.
