In Loving Memory of Omer Comeau

June 10, 1948 – Sept 21, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Omer Comeau on September 21, 2025, at the age of 77.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Donna of 51 years, he leaves behind his 5 beautiful and caring children Jamie, Diane, David, Dennis, & Laura, and his remaining siblings Norman (Murlen), Agnes (Kenneth), Delia (Ronnie), & Stanley (Julie). He is now with Donna and his siblings Hector, Vector, Louis, Annette, Dina.

He was a proud and loving father, great grandfather, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

Omer was a hardworking man who retired after 45 years with Silver Woods. Despite health challenges, he lived life to the fullest. He was known for his jokes, stories, and warm smile. He loved his morning McDonald’s coffee with friends, his scratch tickets, and trips home to reconnect with family and childhood friends.

He will be remembered for his humor, kindness, generosity, and the love he shared with everyone around him.

Forever in our hearts, he’s now reunited with Mom. Rest in paradise Dad, until we meet again.

I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our dear neighbour, Mr. Omer Comeau.

Although we only lived in the same building at 155 Leeward Glenway, his presence was much larger than that address.

Omer’s warm smile, his friendly wave in the morning, his stories told with laughter—they all made our little corner of the world a better place.

As President of the Board, I saw how he carried himself, with dignity, humour and kindness. Even when times were challenging (i.e. during the COVID-19 Pandemic), Omer never lost his light.

His generosity touched not just his own family but all of his neighbours; he genuinely cared. I will always remember the mornings when he’d be out getting his coffee, pausing to chat. Those casual moments carried so much meaning. According to his fellow parishioners at St. John XXIII Church, he was well liked.

To his children, grandchildren, siblings, and all who loved him: my heart goes out to you. Though Omer may be gone from among us, the warmth he shared, the laughter he sparked, and the kindness he showed will remain in our hearts and in our lives here in Leeward Glenway.

Rest in peace, power, and paradise Brother Omer. You have left behind lasting memories. You will be missed, deeply but never forgotten.

With my sympathy and respect,
Tawsif Chowdhury, YCC #141

D💙D,

Thank you so much for everything you did for me and for all five of us kids. You were the greatest father, always there for M❤️M and for us. You and M❤️M were truly a match made in heaven, meant for each other in every way.

I’m so proud to call you my Daddy, and even prouder to call you my Father. I’m going to miss you and M❤️M deeply, but my heart is overjoyed knowing you are together again.

Thank you for sending me the five quarters two days ago, M♥️M, letting me know you were at the gates waiting for D💙D. And thank you,
D💙D, for sending the two quarters with the special designs—one blue for me, my favorite color, and one with sports, knowing how much I’ve loved them all my life.

You both did an amazing job raising us five kids, and we carry so much of you in us. I promise you both that the five of us will stay together forever until we all meet again.

Take care of each other up there, and keep sending us the signs that you’re near. We’ll always hold you both close to our hearts.

Love always,
Your little girl,
Laura 💙😘
