In memory of

Norah McDonald

November 26, 1943 -  June 3, 2022

Passed peacefully at home with her family by her side on Friday, June 3, 2022 in her 79th year. Beloved wife of the late Sandy McDonald. Loving mother of Greig, Cameron and Sarah-Beth (Alessandro). Proud grandmother of Isla who held a special place in her heart. Dear sister-in-law of George and Beth Meechan of New Brunswick. Together again with her siblings James (Betty), Andrew and Caroline and reunited with Baby Hope and the fur babies who were such a fulfilling part of her life. She will be lovingly remembered by her huge extended family in the U.K. (Wales). Norah was a proud and dedicated business owner and spent much of the last 14 years at her Wine Store which brought her great happiness. She was a kind and genuine person and brought her love of life and happiness to all those around her. Norah enjoyed spending her spare time with family at Lake Scugog and Rice Lake where many fond memories were made. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 12 pm until 1 pm with a memorial service to follow at 1 pm at THORNTON FUNERAL CENTRE, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, 905-579-6787 (South of Taunton Road, enter through gates off Dryden Blvd.).
